The multi-colored one is Sanguine Gryphon Bugga, held double stranded, knit on size 7 needles. The pattern is Regular Guy Beanie. It's so soft and cushy. She really loved both of them.
In the face of full disclosure, I do have to admit that I have started another hobby, not really a new one, but an old flame that was last done about 15 years ago. I've started cross-stitching again. I know, just what I need, another obsession. I came upon an old book while searching for yarn in my closet, and the bug bit me. I tried to shake it off, but I couldn't. So, I'm cross-stitching Clay's name. I've done all 4 of my children's names when they were little. I'm really enjoying it. Pictures to come at a later date.
Happy stitching.
Congratulations on your 1st shawl! It's very pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a great accomplishment in making one. I finally overcame my fear of YO's and made my first shawl also (Dane Shawl) last fall. Once you've done 1, you will make another (Now doing Traveling Woman). Making it out of Wollmeise is extra special too!
I'm sure your friend appreciates the nice caps also. A very good friend you are!
