Grab Bags!!!

Don't you just love the Wollmeise Grab Bags that Claudia puts together. It's like Forrest Gump used to say, "you never know what you're gonna get." But you know you're gonna love it, because, after all, it's Wollmeise. What's not to love!!! And sometimes, you get something that you like better than the original colorway.

Below are a few Grab Bags from the last 2 updates that she did on 9/14 and 9/28. This first one is Kunterbunt, which means mixed colorways, not matching. These colors are Birkenrinde (birch bark), Blue Curacao, Dornroschen (sleeping beauty, Arlene and Ebenholz. The Arlene and Ebenholz go together perfectly.

This next bag is Gemischt (alot of different harmonic shades) which includes Herzblut (lifeblood), Admiral, Raku-Regenbogen (rainbow) probably the most sought-after WM color, Kurbis (pumpkin) and Spice Market.

Some of the bags are done in color themes. This one is lila-purple. Nobody does purple like Wollmeise. These are Krauterbeet (bed of herbs) I like this better than the original because it has a little blue in it, Veilchen (violet), Ballerina, Lavendal, and Der Letze Versuch (the last try). These last 4 on the right are very smilar with just slight variations. The Veilchen has some blue in it. The Lavendal is a little more solid than Ballerina, and he DLV is darker and has some maroon and red in it. So beautiful.

This red deserved a picture all by itself; it's called Rubin.

This is another Kunterbunt bag. Included in it are: Sabrina, Ballerina, my beloved Rubin, Wasabi, and Gewitterhimmel (stormy sky), a beautiful mixture of blues and black.

This bag is a Gemischt. Both of these skeins are labeled Versuchskaninchen, which means guinea pig. The skein on top is a bluish greenish color with black? The bottom one looks kind of like Sultan with black. I really like both of them.

And this last one is a brown-black bag which includes a very light Zenzi (a name given Bavarian milk cows because they are black and brown) and an almost solid Ebenholz (ebony). These would look great together in a scarf alternating rows. I'll have to think about that.

Well, as TD would say, be very jealous of this stash of Wollmeise. I really need to take inventory and list what I have. I know I have duplicates of some colors and should put them up to trade on Ravelry, which is always a fun thing to do.
I do have some finished knitting to show you this week. We were on the road again watching OS play football - we lost! - so I can always get knitting done in the car or on the plane.
Have a great week!!
